After trailing 14-7 after one quarter at home Thursday against Neosho, the Lady Houn's got back on track to lead the rest of the way. That is, until the final buzzer sounded and a 3-pointer from the baseline by Neosho had tied the score at the end of regulation 53-53.
Aurora never recovered, falling in overtime to the Lady Wildcats, 61-58.
Aurora (4-10) led 25-22 at the half and 44-36 after three periods, but the fourth quarter belonged to Neosho and they had just enough to force the game to overtime.
Shania Siegrist and Rachel Parker each scored 16 points for the Lady Houn's, and Jordan Hall added 11.
The Lady Houn's return to the floor Monday, Jan. 7, at home against Springfield Catholic.
