Game Summary
Carl Junction is an improved football team. Bound a new conference next season, the Bulldogs look to sharpen their ability as they face a new challenge. Friday night at Kelly Field, they showed the Houn' Dawgs a lot of offense early as they ran away and hid en route to a 56-26 victory.
Aurora scored a good deal of points but the Bulldogs exploded early and often. On Carl Junction's first play from scrimmage, Matt McGee took a pitch 55 yards to start the scoring. CJ scored the next three touchdowns before Aurora got it going. Josh Fronabarger scored from 8 yards out to put the Houns on the board. Josh found the end zone again late in the 2nd quarter to give Aurora some life, but Aurora went into the locker room at halftime down 49-12.
The second half was better for the Houns as they scored twice while CJ only mustered one more touchdown. William Blankenship scored midway through the 4th quarter and Tristan Dunning scored on the game's final play. Final score 56-26 Carl Junction.
