Game Summary
The Houn Dawgs traveled to Cassville on a rainy, cool night to try and get their first win over Cassville in a number of years. Bought teams fought for field position on a sloppy field, but it was Cassville that was able to take advantage of their situation better and was able to come away with a 21-0 victory.
Aurora received the opening kickoff and began heir drive in their own territory. The Houn's got a first down on their drive, but were forced to punt. Cassville took over and moved the ball into Aurora territory but Brad Marlar deflected a fourth down pass and Aurora was able to stop the Wildcats and take over on downs. After one quarter the score was 0-0.
Aurora moved the ball, but on third down threw an interception on their own 40 yard line. It took 11 plays but Cassville was able to make paydirt on a 1 yard touchdown run. Aurora would fight back on the ensuing kickoff. Skylar Cahill took the kickoff and ran it 73 yards down to the Cassville 15 yard line. Aurora was unable to punch it in the endzone and the Wildcats forced the Houns' to turn the ball over on downs inside the 10 yard line. Cassville also was forced to punt. The back and forth continued until late into the quarter when Cassville punched in one more score to go up 14-0 at the half.
Cassville would tack on another touchdown late in the game to come away with a 21-0 victory.
