Non-Conference Football Aurora vs. Rogersville October 4, 2013

Aurora -----------8-----6----15---6 35
Rogersville-------0-----0----0----0 0
Game Summary
Friday night Aurora traveled to Rogersville to take on the Wildcats. Once again, the Houns' played a team that was celebrating their homecoming. But unlike last week when the Dawgs came up just short against Monett, Aurora gave Rogersville all that they wanted and then some en route to a 35-0 victory. The Houns have started to rebound from a couple of tough defeats in game 3 and 4 in the season and are by all accounts clearly playing better the last couple of weeks.
Aurora won the toss and deferred until the second half. Rogersville received the kickoff and was forced to punt. Aurora took over but also failed to score. The teams traded possessions, but Aurora finally broke through on a 16 yard TD pass by Logan Bader with 5:21 left in the 1st quarter. After Bader scored a 2 point conversion, Aurora went up 8-0. Showing their youth, the Houns' drove into the red zone in the 2nd quarter but were not able to convert their trip into points. However, with 1:08 left in the 1st half, Aurora scored on a William Blankenship 7 yeard TD run to take a 14-0 lead going into the locker room.
Aurora got it going in the 3rd quarter and never looked back. William Blankenship caught a 45 yard TD pass from Josh Fronabarger and Fronabarger also ran for another 8 yard score. William Blankenship scored his 4th touchdown of the night in the 4th quarter on a 4 yard TD run. Aurora won the ball game 35-0.
