It was also Senior night for Aurora and 14 Seniors played what could possible have been their last game on their home field. Aurora came out of the gates very tough, but Lamar proved their worth as they overpowered the Dawgs offensively to leave town with a 60-18 victory. The Houn's came out and attacked the Tigers with an air attack. Josh Fronabarger hooked up with William Blankenship for 64 yards on a play that made it to the Lamar 1 yard line. Josh punched it through on the next play to put the Houn's up 6-0 after an unsuccessful two point conversion. The Tigers received the ensuing kickoff and showed why they are so tough. Lamar was able to eat up 52 yards on 5 plays to score their first touchdown. An extra point gave them a 7-6 lead. Lamar would hold the Houn's on their next possession and score another touchdown to make the score 14-6. However, Aurora got their passing game going on the next possession with two long passes to Skylar Cahill to move the ball inside the 5 yard line of the Tigers. Josh Fronabarger punched in another 1 yard touchdown to pull the Houns closer by a score of 14-12. Lamar kept it going though and was able to score once again to finish the first quarter scoring. At the end of one quarter, Lamar led 21-12. Lamar kept their offense going as the Houns stalled in the second quarter. The Tigers scored 20 unanswered points to lead 41-12 at the half. In the third quarter, Aurora would add more points on a William Blankenship 11 yard run, but the Houns would not score again as they fell to Lamar 60-18.
