I had the chance to ask Jim Moore, the new Lady Houn's Girl's Basketball coach, a few questions recently, so I thought I would let you see what he had to say in the 4 The Record segment:

1.  Tell us about your family?
I have a fiancee, Linnea, and a daughter, Larissa, who is going to be a Sophomore.  We have two pugs, a min pin, and a beagle/hound mutt.  We are all excited to become a part of the Aurora community.
2.  Tell us about your Coaching history?  Teaching as well?
I have been teaching and coaching for 16 years, 11 of which have been spent as a Head Girls Basketball Coach.  My teaching and coaching stops along the way include Winona, Pierce City, Fair Grove, and Carthage.  I have been fortunate to have a lot of good teams along the way highlighted by a Final Four team in 2008-2009 while in Fair Grove.
3.  Tell us about what style of offense and defense you plan to play in Aurora?
I have big plans for this years team.  We are going to be pretty athletic and I expect several girls to be able to contribute.  We want to play an up tempo game pushing the ball in transition as much as we can.  Defensively we will be primarily a man to man team picking up full court and putting as much pressure on the basketball as we possibly can.  I believe we will be fun to watch with non stop action for four quarters.
4.  Why Aurora?
Everyone I have talked to has told me what a great community Aurora is.  My family and I really like the area being close to Springfield and the Lake.  The town and the school district has everything my family and I was looking for and we feel Aurora will be a great place for my daughter to finish her high school education.
