It took the Aurora Houn's 16 years. 1998 was the last time Aurora won a district baseball game, but today that streak ended, as the freshmen dominated Houn's upset Reeds Spring in come-from-behind fashion to advance to the semi-finals against Marshfield on Monday night. But it was a freshman and two juniors that put an end to this streak for Aurora.

Trailing 4-0, Aurora rallied for three runs in the fifth, one in the sixth and the winning run in the top of the seventh. Kaleb Baker reached base to lead off the inning on a catcher's interference call. Two wild pitches later to Patrick Wheeler, who was trying to bunt the runner over, pinch runner Kage Etherton was on  third with no outs. Wheeler, a junior, singled to left field but Etherton had to make sure the ball wasn't caught.

That's when clean-up hitter junior Jacob Woody singled up the middle to plate Etherton and the upset was a reality.

The number six seed Houn's will now take on number two seeded Marshfield Bluejays on Monday, with game-time set for 6 p.m. in Hollister.
